Christmas Carols

Where your soul celebrates and refill your spirit

Although Christmas Carols is associated with small towns and villages the reality is they have prevailed the time in cities as well. The Christmas Carols are the songs to sing during the Christmas season, they are about Jesus and the time when he was born. It has been a strong tradition in England, even if people who don’t regularly attend to church, they would enjoy joining in the church for this service. Sadly, after the pandemic many people have lost their enthusiasm in massive events, or simply lost their interest. However, in other hand, fortunately there is a number of people who loves to continue remembering and practicing the Christmas events that make the season special and give meaning to the most wonderful time of the year.

Christmas Carols are still sung, and special services are taking place along the country. To join a Christmas Carol Service please look for your local Parish Church online or ask to the people of your locality, as some churches may don’t have a website.

A touching carol service will be held at Westminster Abbey this year, hosted by Kate and supported by the Royal Foundation. It will recognise and celebrate “the selfless efforts” of those across the UK and will pay tribute to the Queen, ITV said.

The service will combine both traditional and modern elements, “reaching people of all faiths and none”, ITV confirmed. The Westminster Abbey choir will deliver the nation’s best-loved carols alongside readings and musical performances by a variety of special guests.

Here in Cambridgeshire I can mention the Services for Ely Cathedral as they have not only one service but three! lucky enough is more than one, click on the links bellow:

Christmas Fairs

Although very similar to the Christmas Market, the difference I notice is not only in the name but in a Christmas Fair you will find Handmade goods, which can go from homemade Christmas Cakes and Christmas Puddings, Local Cider, carved wood, jewelry, knitted wear and decorations, and all kind of crafts and you can meet the crafters and artists firsthand, basically Christmas Fairs are local handmade and homemade original and unique produces made in England and the UK.

Christmas Tree and Christmas Wreath Festivals

These Festivals are organized by the Church of England with the same line of style. Both events promote to bring the local community in fellowship as well as remember the reason for celebrating Christmas.
